Hangglider and Paraglider

1550 m W-SW + 2.300 m SW + SE their are different start places for both HG and PG.

The riverbed "Rio Guadalfeo" by Los Tablones is a clear-cut landing place, and the quickest weg from take-off to landing. Wacth out there many cables. In good conditions it is possible to fly west of the riverbed from the bridge where there is a big landing field.

From Orgiva in the direction Trevelez, about 2 km after the "Parking Alpujarra" and a sharp left curve turn left. Then follow the gravel way through a little forest, turn right and follow the double bend up. After a few klms on the right hand side is a little place to park. Above the road is the paragliding take-off and below the street is the take-off for Hanggliders.

The Valley wind system in Orgiva can set in during the 6klm flight of about 20mins to the landing place. It is not advisable for inexperienced pilots to fly there without a guide. Tip: Important, land by 2pm. Also don't start with W wind. As the valley wind systems come always from the west that can mean the strong valley winds have already set in.
