One of the mountains around Almuñécar is Peña Escrita. A wonderfully invested game park on 1200 metres, with camping and grill places and an outdoor swimming pool at 1000-m height.
A visit in the game park Peña Escrita is worthwhile not only because of to many, partly to exotic animals, but one finds very good footpaths in this dreamlike scenery with look to the Sierra Nevada and of course on the sea - with look at the bay of La Herradura.
